Today was a rainy day so Karen, Sean, Shae, Mike and I did a little bit of warcrafting. It was fun because we’ve largely been away from it for a while (most of August) and people are dropping out of it like flies. I think I’m sticking with it until next year sometime, but my play time has seriously decreased (which is a good thing).

Jonathan got the board game version of Warcraft for father’s day last week. Sean, Shae and I all went over to give it a try to see if was any fun to play. Turns out it was quite good (albeit long at 5+ hours). It helped a lot that we already know how to play the online game, so it only took 1h to go over all the rules. It has so many elements of the online version of the game, which might make it overwhelming for people, but that are translated well to a board game. It was definitely an entertaining afternoon.

At the end of the month, Dan is going to let his Warcraft subscription run out and quit. Probably a smart idea as the time comittment has such a significant impact on personal life. I expect that eventually all of us will also probably give up the goat and move on to better things, as entertaining as it all may be.

Well, just a matter of time and finally on Friday night (early Sat. morning) Whispers of Mutiny along with a few of us Shiny defeated the end-boss of Molten Core (Ragnaros). It was a long time, considering I have been playing with them for many many months and remember when it used to take 7 hours to get to the first bridge. Friday’s run was quite a rough one (lots of healing problems), but it all ended on a high note as Ragnaros finally was beaten (I’m the bear on the left).

Not that I needed it very much (already had good pants) - but my Molten Core run on the weekend (which included Ryan and Simon for the first time) got me a few things, including that set piece — now I’m just 2 bits away from done.
I’ve updated my profile on CTProfiles.net to try to keep it mostly up to date.
