Sean of the corn
Yay! For Shae’s birthday we all decided to go to Kim-Glo for an ole’ fashioned hay ride! There was lots of stuff to do… a haunted barn which we went through with the lights on (not very scary), but then Adam and Jude went through when the staff was working and the lights were off and it was apparently MUCH scarier. We then roamed through the corn maze which was fun but difficult to navigate. Sean had a unsettling habit of “fading” into the corn … within four steps he was completely indistinguishable from the corn because of his similar coloured jacket. He would then reappear out of the corn not where you’d expect him and ensuring that he managed to surprise you in the process. We all then jumped onto a trailer pulled by a tractor for the actual hay ride portion of the day. We rolled through zombie fields and desolate trails and arrived at the witches forest. The witches promptly came out of their hut and started sizing us up for their finger stew. They were particularly interested in Mike’s fingers (primarily because he wasn’t playing along) and tried to make sure he got a proper looking over. Overall, it was a fabulous day out in the farm country and we’d love to repeat it again. Everyone headed back to S+S’s house for a grand post-ride dinner and session of creative pumpkin decorating.
